In early 2020, Rik Loverbos, who owns a farrow-to-finish pig farm with his parents, discovered an article about Europe’s most advanced piglet house: Van Asten Group in Sterksel. This was the beginning of a new chapter for Loverbos and his parents, who were in the process of building new piglet house. After meeting the author of the article, they resolutely decided on a U-turn in their climate system.
Despite their previous unfamiliarity with Inno+, the success stories of fellow pig farmers using the Triple EEE system gave them confidence. The tangible results convinced them to purchase not one, but two Triple EEE systems, along with a heat pump and involvement in a sustainability plan. This plan included the implementation of a heat grid, boiler conversions, heat pump integration and, of course, the Triple EEE system in their sow stalls.
