Inno+ celebrates 20th anniversary!
On April 15, 2023, Inno+ will celebrate its 20th anniversary. The company, which specializes in sustainable solutions for the agricultural sector, looks back on 20 successful years full of innovation and growth. And even more importantly: Inno+ looks ahead, towards a future full of innovative solutions.
From start-up to market leader in innovative farm concepts
This year, Inno+ celebrates its 20th anniversary. The company started in 2003 as a small start-up and has since grown into a market leader and global player in the field of innovative farming technologies that reduce ammonia, odors and fine dust on one hand and improve energy consumption and optimal climate for animal husbandry on the other. Thanks to these competences, we have achieved some important milestones in the past two decades.
One of the biggest reasons for Inno+’s success is the team of dedicated and experienced employees. The company is extremely proud of its team and the contribution they have made to achieving these milestones. Inno+ has always believed in the importance of teamwork and likes to invest in the development of its employees. We should not forget the important contribution of the founding owners: Michel Stienen and Sjaak van der Linden. Together with the current owner, Maurice Ortmans, they formed a strong triad in the early years.
The first customers in 2003
An important milestone in Inno+’s success story was the success of one of its first customers: Van Zeeland in Gemert. Together with this customer, the Terra-Sea system was developed for broilers. The Terra-Sea system uses different techniques to significantly reduce energy consumption and achieve an optimal climate in the barn. This improves technical results and reduces emissions of ammonia, odors and fine dust.
The success of this system for this customer attracted a lot of national and international attention. The customer base has since grown to an impressive list of national and international customers.
Big Dutchman
In 2016, Inno+ was partially taken over by the German company Big Dutchman. Maurice Ortmans remained on board as director and co-shareholder, and Michel Stienen and Sjaak van der Linden said goodbye as shareholders. This acquisition offered the company the opportunity to standardize its concepts, grow further and sell its technologies worldwide. Inno+ is now active in more than 20 countries and continues to invest in new technologies and concepts to help its customers in a challenging market.
Innovation is in our DNA
The sector in which Inno+ operates is constantly changing and there is a lot of potential for further growth and development. Inno+ sees the future of the sector positively and continues to strive for sustainability, efficiency and animal welfare. The company continues to invest in research and development to offer innovative solutions that contribute to better performance of the sector.
Maurice Ortmans: “We always want to be the innovator in the market. We know very well where it can go and what is possible. And there is often much more possible than farmers think. The market always lags behind or is initially hesitant or still ignorant. With our concepts and certainly with our thoughts, we have been far ahead of our time and there are very interesting developments again now. It is great to see that the market has picked it up and that we work on this together daily with a very beautiful and involved team.”
All in all, Inno+ can look back with pride on its first 20 years. The company has achieved important milestones and continues to strive for further growth and development of the sector.
Symposium: View on the future
In honor of its 20th anniversary, Inno+ is organizing a unique Symposium for the sector. Currently, livestock farming is facing many uncertainties and challenges. Both the sector, society, and the government are searching for future perspectives and clarity. During this symposium, we – together with guest speakers – will present many new insights that farmers can use to look to the future with positive energy.
