Customer from the very beginning!
“The livestock concept of the Van Zeeland family is the answer to all the issues we are facing today.”
Twenty years ago, Jan and Eric van Zeeland from Gemert were the first customers of Inno+. Together, they developed an innovative housing system for broiler chickens. They were the first ones to install an air scrubber 20 years ago, already reducing emissions at that time. Through the collaboration with Inno+, the housing system became even better than what Jan and Eric had originally envisioned. Their initial idea was already very strong. We have only made it stronger by adding our knowledge and ideas. This has been yielding excellent results for our customer from the very beginning for the past 20 years.
“As a result, the chickens grow better, feed conversion is lower, we need fewer medications, and the heating costs are significantly lower compared to those of a traditional barn. I can only recommend it to everyone,” says Eric van Zeeland.
The operation and benefits of the Terrasea system
- Heating, cooling, and ventilation without drafts.
- Manageable and consistent climate; the system compensates for peaks and dips in the outdoor climate.
- Improved animal performance.
- Low-maintenance air scrubber.
- Energy savings of 60% compared to conventional barns by utilizing three free energy sources. Geothermal energy for cooling and heating; floor heating to regulate the incoming ventilation air temperature; heat from the expelled air is recovered through the air scrubber combined with a heat recovery system and reused.
- Complete control over animal production conditions.
- Only conditioned air enters the barn. As a result, the air can be introduced at the animal level (cross-ventilation), and the necessary ventilation is kept to a minimum: 2.5 m3/chick per hour.
